Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Acupuncturist
Methodology
In my practice I combine traditional healing methods with the methodology of modern scientific diagnosis to treat disease while achieving optimal health. I incorporate the use of chinese medicine, acupuncture, iridology, western medical diagnostic methods, breathing techniques plus dietary, lifestyle, physical, mental and spiritual therapies. I believe the combination of these approaches complete an integral approach to health, wellness and happiness.
My Journey
After graduating as a Buddhist theologian with a classical Chinese language specialization
from The Gate of Dharma Buddhist College in Budapest, Hungary, I embarked on five years
of medical studies at the Beijing University of Chinese Medicine (BUCM) in Beijing, China.
After my graduation I won a scholarship, which enabled me to follow a three-year
postgraduate program at Heilongjiang University of Chinese Medicine (HLJUCM) in Harbin, China, where I undertook further practice and research in neurology earning the title of Master of Clinical
Medicine.
As a notable Western student of Chinese medicine, I have been fortunate to study alongside
some of Chinese medicine`s most respected doctors and scholars such as Professors Zhang Ru
Xin, Xu Rong Dong and Cheng Wei Ping. Under their guidance I learned not only the science of medicine, but also developed intuitive insight into this ancient system of living.
Throughout my studies I have taken a profound interest not only in healing but also in
spirituality. I met some inspiring Masters such as the 31st generation Shaolin monk Shi De
Chao, who is my master and mentor in meditation, Tai Chi and other martial arts.
I also developed an interest in Ayurveda (Indian traditional medicine) during my studies.
Ayurveda and Chinese Medicine are the two oldest and best developed natural healing
traditions in existence with both systems recognized by the World Health Organization. In
order to gain a better understanding of Ayurveda, I have been regularly going to India, where the guidance of Ayurvedic doctors strengthened my knowledge. After examining both systems, it became clear to me, that Chinese and Ayurvedic medicines have much in common and can be used in tandem. Both of these medical systems are ancient treasures of healing wisdom and I feel fortunate and blessed, because I had a chance to spend 12 years in Asia and learned from the most authentic teachers. There is deep motivation in me, to share this valuable knowledge and natural wisdom and bring health and happiness to people.
